Update History

LoveManiac remains in development, with Team Nebula publishing frequent content and bug-fix releases. The most recent documented release is 0.3.6 Early Access, while the official page also provides a 0.3.5 web build.

0.3.2 Public Release

The public 0.3.2 release established several important systems. Team Nebula redesigned Chara and their animations, added the Lust Meter, introduced additional combat attacks and added save slots. These changes form the foundation for the later combat and progression systems.

0.3.3 Patch

The 0.3.3 patch added support for multiple languages, specifically Spanish and Russian, introduced a new main menu and a new intro, and added Linux support. It was primarily a feature and platform expansion rather than a large scene-focused release.

0.3.4 Public Release

Version 0.3.4 was a major content expansion. It added Nebby to the main menu, introduced Nebby's Shop, added six new scenes and nine second rounds, added two new skins and corresponding scenes, expanded the overworld, updated Chara's presentation and added the ability to skip cutscenes.

This release is the point at which Nebby became a major part of the game's progression and collection structure.

0.3.4_2 Bugfix

The 0.3.4_2 patch addressed several specific problems. Team Nebula listed fixes for restarting the intro, a death scene with a skin, movement failures in battle, a second-round issue and a problem involving Nelson. This patch illustrates why version numbers matter when troubleshooting progression.

0.3.4_3 Bugfix

The 0.3.4_3 release added Gelly Fish, new settings including window settings, and a dedicated No Hit mode. Gelly Fish restores 20 HP and provides a shield that absorbs one hit without counting that hit toward the No Hit statistic. The update also added the special Nebby store-entry scene to the Gallery.

The release notes also identified remaining serious bugs at that time, including a Gallery crash and a battle-start softlock. These notes were subsequently followed by later content releases and fixes.

0.3.5 Public Release

The 0.3.5 release added voice acting, five new scenes, decorated battle backgrounds, Pale and Butcher backgrounds, a new Nebby dialogue topic, main-menu interaction with Chara and Nebby, a new Shop item and an interactive Flirt ACT flow with timed answer selection and shuffled choices.

Team Nebula also noted that some 0.3.5 content would arrive in future patches. The release therefore should not be treated as a frozen endpoint for all features announced around that version.

0.3.5 Web Build

The official 0.3.6 Early Access post lists a file named LoveManiac 0.3.5_WEB.zip and explicitly labels it Play in browser. This confirms that the project has a browser build. The downloadable files shown on the same official page include Android, Windows and Linux builds, while an older Mac build is also listed on the main itch.io page.

0.3.6 Early Access

On September 26, 2026, Team Nebula published LoveManiac 0.3.6 Early Access for Galaxy and Nebula supporters. The update added TV functionality, with cassette playback initially available and minigames planned for the TV system. It also added new scenes, a Solver costume, a new finisher attack, new splash-screen art, a Gallery artwork book, a new intro cinematic, additional overworld rooms and unique lines and voice lines for costumes.

The update also reworked the targeted laser attack. Knives can no longer be destroyed before they launch, their spawn position was adjusted, and the slash now hits vertically.

Current Documentation Rule

For a public-facing reference, distinguish the public 0.3.5 content from 0.3.6 Early Access. Team Nebula's official page still labels LoveManiac as in development, so future patches can change the mechanics, available scenes and platform builds again.
