Nebby Shop

Nebby's Shop is a progression and interaction system added during the 0.3.4 development cycle, and later updates connected it to the main menu, Gallery and item mechanics.

When the Shop Appeared

Team Nebula first announced Nebby's Shop as part of the 0.3.4 development release, and the public 0.3.4 update listed Nebby in the main menu and Nebby's Shop among its additions. The same release expanded the game's overworld and added new scene content.

This makes the shop a later addition rather than a feature that existed in the earliest builds. If a guide written for an older version does not mention Nebby, that is a version difference rather than evidence that the shop is hidden somewhere else.

Nebby in the Main Menu

Version 0.3.5 expanded interaction with both Chara and Nebby in the main menu. Team Nebula states that holding down on their sprites instead of clicking plays a special animation. This interaction is separate from the store itself, but it is useful when checking all of the game's available Nebby-related content.

The same update added a new Nebby dialogue topic and allowed interaction with Nebby in the Shop. The shop therefore became part of a wider character-interaction system rather than remaining a simple purchasing screen.

Items and the Shop

The shop is associated with items that can affect gameplay. One confirmed example is Gelly Fish, introduced in version 0.3.4_3. It restores 20 HP and grants a shield that absorbs one hit. The absorbed hit does not count toward the No Hit statistic, giving the item a documented combat utility beyond healing.

Team Nebula's 0.3.5 notes also mention the addition of a new joke-oriented item. The exact numerical effect of every shop item is not documented in the official release notes, so this reference does not assign unverified prices or effects to items that have not been formally described.

Shop and Gallery

The shop can also be relevant to collection progress. Version 0.3.4_3 added the special Nebby scene associated with entering the store to the Gallery. This means visiting the shop can have a collection consequence separate from purchasing an item.

When tracking scene completion, check the Gallery after relevant shop interactions. For the broader scene system, see All Scenes. For Nebby's character role, continue to Nebby.

Shop and Combat

The shop's clearest documented gameplay connection is through defensive items. Gelly Fish was introduced in the same update that added No Hit mode. Its 20 HP restoration and one-hit shield directly support battle survival, while the shield's interaction with the No Hit statistic gives it a specific challenge-oriented function.

That relationship makes the shop useful before difficult combat attempts. However, this guide does not claim a complete optimal shopping route because the official documentation does not provide a full price-and-effect table for every item.

Version Changes

The shop evolved across several releases. The initial 0.3.4 update introduced Nebby and the shop. Version 0.3.4_3 added the Gelly Fish item and placed the special Nebby store scene in the Gallery. Version 0.3.5 added more Nebby interaction and another shop item. Version 0.3.6 Early Access continued adding broader content, including new rooms and Gallery material.

For this reason, the current shop should always be considered version-dependent. A missing item or interaction can reflect the build being used rather than an incorrect route.

A Safe Shop Checklist

  1. Enter the Shop after the relevant Nebby content becomes available.
  2. Check the available items without assuming prices that are not documented.
  3. Review the Gallery after entering the store for the special Nebby scene.
  4. Keep Gelly Fish in mind when planning a No Hit attempt because its shield has a documented interaction with the No Hit statistic.
  5. Check version notes after updates because shop inventory and interactions have changed over time.

Do not treat community-posted prices or effects as official unless Team Nebula documents them. This page records only shop mechanics that can be tied to the developer's published updates.
